Dr. David Anthony Miranda is an emergency physician, who likes to give his emergency services to the people who belong to undeserved communities as well as to the people belonging to rural areas. While giving his services in an emergency room for decades, he has mentioned some of the challenges which he has faced while giving his services to people in order to stabilize their condition.

• Inefficient Capacity
The greatest challenge that is faced in an emergency room is always been an emergency department capacity. Dr David Anthony Miranda says that emergency departments are treating major illnesses successfully, but it means giving more time to their patient. Thus, following patient discharge has nearly impossible which in turn led to the lack of capacity for the other patients.
• Lack of Staffing
He further suggested that sometimes a situation arises in an emergency room where there is a need for qualified physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners as well as other health care professionals. As Emergency departments are open 365 days a year, therefore it is necessary to have a proper staff allocation so that the doctor doesn’t find any difficulty, while treating a patient in an emergency room.
• Technology
The use of technology in an emergency department is good. Therefore, Dr David says that emergency room should remain up to date; as much advancement has been taking place in the medical industry and it also forms an easy way to stabilize the condition of a patient.
• Lack of Medicines
Dr David Anthony Miranda further says that some time in an emergency room there is a condition in which the medicine which is needed is not available. As a result, the patient has to suffer a lot. Therefore, it is necessary that emergency room must have efficient storage of medicine. So that it won’t be difficult for the doctor to stabilize the patient condition.
